Hybrid Golf Clubs
Most of the tour players are using hybrid golf clubs, Almost all the golf club Manufactures are making them in one form or another.
You ask do these hybrid clubs actually work, the short answer is Yes! and they work extremely well, there a cross between a fairway wood and and a long iron, giving you the perfect balance.
Hybrid golf clubs are designed with one goal in mind, and that's to launch the ball up in the air from long distances and hard to hit lies.
Manufactures have taken the center of gravity and placed it to the back and to the bottom of the club face, allowing for the added loft, they have also made the club face flat and added a higher launch angle. this gives the ball a higher spin rate allowing for it to stop with greater accuracy.
Like anything in life, if the club is pleasing to you, this gives you added confidence when using it, so its very important to pick one that looks and feels nice for you, what works for someone else may not for you!
So who actually is using these Hybrid clubs?
Anyone who gets that hint of nervousness when they know they have to hit that dreaded long iron shot. Anyone who is looking for different ways to improve their game. Anyone who is looking for more innovative ways to chip around the greens, etc.
Many of the big name tour players like Reteif Goosen, Mike Weir, Stuart Appleby, Steve Flesh, Ernie Els and the list goes on. David Toms used a hybrid for that celebrated hole-in-1 in the final round of the PGA Championship that he won. Todd Hamilton used one to accentuate his chipping that won him the British Open.
There using these clubs for a reason, which is greater accuracy more distance from long shots to the green, off the fairway and much more control over the ball.
Since everyone from amateurs to professionals are using these hybrid golf clubs, don’t you think it’s time you took those long irons out of your bag and put in a HYBRID?
